Omega Alpha: A Brief History

In the spring of 1991, following the termination of the fraternity system at Middlebury College, three former Chi Psi brothers came together to form a new co-educational social house, Omega Alpha. It was decided that the corner stone of the new house would be the three pillars: Fides (Trust) Concordia (Unity) and Dignatio (Respect). Today these three pillars best characterize the ways in which Omega Alpha conducts itself, seeking to be a positive influence on both campus and community, through active involvement in Middlebury's extracurricular and social scenes, as well as through community service.

Originally located in the old Chi Psi Lodge currently known to the Middlebury campus as Munford House, Omega Alpha moved across campus in the spring of 1998, to its new location in the Ridgeline Woods' Brackett House. Omega Alpha, or "Tavern" is currently comprised of 50 active members, and over 400 alumni.
